This series of pictures taken in New York, New York, were perhaps some of my favorite of that trip.
I was standing in Central Park when I noticed this "Toy Soldier" outside of FAO- Schwarz Toy Store across the street. As I was looking at him, a real Soldier approached him. The surprise on the Toy Soldier's face was clearly apparent, as was the affection between the two men. I know nothing of the circumstances, but I have always been glad I could catch this interaction on film. I printed the pictures and sent them to FAO-Schwarz in hopes they would pass them along to the Toy Soldier.
